Army National Guard

Trevor has decided to join the National Guard in order to serve our country and to pay for schooling. We have thought long and hard about this and feel it is in the best interest of our family that he join. I am really scared and excited for this part of our lives but we know it will all be for the best. I am so proud of Trevor for deciding to do this not only for our country but for our family. Trevor will be enlisting at the end of May and will go to boot camp for 8 weeks shortly after my birthday on June 23rd.

I totally forgot to talk about Christmas! Connor got completely spoiled! He got a ride in Jeep from Uncle Cole, and a four wheeler from his grandpa and nanna Welch for his birthday. He got a lot of toys from everyone and a bunch of cute clothes too. I got a new crockpot that I absolutely love! I also got some clothes, pajamas, purse, books, and a bunch more stuff. Trevor got clothes, pajamas, a bunch of DVD's, new games for his X box 360, and some tools.

We spent Christmas eve night at my parents so we could wake up with them on Christmas day, Trevor had to work both days but we still had an amazing Christmas!

My anniversary

So for our 5 year wedding anniversary me and Trevor didn't have much money so we just went to see Sherlock Holmes and we both really liked it. Then we went and got Connor from my parents house and went to eat. We had a fun day just being together and talking about what a great 5 years it has been. We are looking forward to many more years together not to mention an eternity.

I have recently been attending girls night out which is for the girls that I graduated with to just get away for a while and it has been a lot of fun. It has been so nice to get out of the house and away from my mommy duties even if it is for only a few hours. I am so thankful for that group of girls because they are a lot of fun and seem to accept me now even though I have made plenty of mistakes in the past.

Before I mentioned that my cousins four month old son passed away from leukemia and that was a very difficult time for my family. Our faith was tested and I was very happy to see my family all pull together during that time. My cousin is pregnant again and is going to have twins! We are all very excited and so is she and her husband though they are scared to death. It just goes to show how precious life is and it makes me appreciate my own son and I am very thankful that he is healthy.

Need to update y'all

So it's been quite some time since I have posted something new. I have been wrapped up in my Facebook page. So here are some of the things that have been happening in our lives since i last posted.

-Connor is 2!

-We have decided to move back to Rigby in the summer

-my four month old cousin passed away to Leukemia in December

-my brother Cole finally has a girlfriend that we all love!

-Friday is me and Trevor's 5 year wedding anniversary!

-Trevor will be going back to school to finish his degree in Biomedical Engineering this summer

-Connor has to have his diaper ducted tapped on him when he goes to bed because he wont leave it on and then pees on things

I swear more exciting things have happened but I can't think of any of them right now!

Veterans Day

Today is Veterans Day and it has me thinking about my Grandpa Welch. He died when I was 8 but he fought in World War II. He was in the Navy and lied about his age to get in. He guarded Japanese prisoners and fought among others to keep our country safe. I miss him so much, he loved us all very much and I feel his presence almost everyday. Connor is so lucky to have just been with him in heaven and I know I will get to see him again some day. I love you grandpa!!

Our life as of late

So I don't have any pictures right now cuz I don't feel like downloading them just yet but I can tell you what has been goin on in the world of Hall these past few months. Trevor has been working at Idaho Central Credit Union and loves it; he is making good money there and we are just waiting for it to become full time so he can quit Apple. Once he quits apple he will get to be home more often. Right now he works the day at ICCU and the nights (until about 1:30 am) at Apple. It really sucks right now cuz of course I miss him. Connor is talking more and more he says the funniest things like the other night I asked him if it was time for bed and he said "you go bed!" Trevor told him to go play with his toys and he proceeded to tell him that he wanted new toys. He is so funny! He has also been pretty sick lately and so has Trevor. Trev has has strep throat for about three weeks now and Connor has had a fever off and on and isn't sleeping or eating well. :0( I hate when my babies are sick!
I'm really excited for New Moon to come out and have reread the entire Twilight series over again. Right now I am in the middle of To Kill a Mocking bird and I am really enjoying it.
For Halloween Connor was Superman of course (with a comic book nerd for a father he couldn't have been anything else) and he was super cute. I will put up some pictures later of him. He would run around and wave his arms around so that his cape would rustle.
I am really happy right now, I have a great family that loves and supports me and a super awesome husband that loves me and takes care of me!

No internet...:(

I have not been blogging lately because we haven't had the internet. We will get it back soon hopefully. Meanwhile the new things that have happened in our life are, Trevor got a second job which will soon become his only job at ICCU bank in Idaho falls. Connor has said Love you and here ya go which I think is adorable. I think that is about it for now!

Connor and his cars part 2

Since Connor has been "driving" everything he can get his hands on because he only has one toy car and apparently he is bored of if, his Uncle Cole bought him a really cool truck that came with a car trailer and an extra car. Well, that has kept Connor very entertained lately but the funny part is that when he drives his truck he stands on his head. It is so cute as these pictures will illistrate.

The Rigby car show

Yes, another car show......even though I've been to like a thousand of those things I still love them. It was a lot of fun and I even got to see a few friends. I got a couple of pictures of Connor and my Dad in his Camero and they turned out really cute!

Connor is such a little boy, he has been playing with his cars all day driving them around making little noises while he pushes them along. He will even grab the remote to the tv and drive that around too. It looks like I will be needing to get him some new cars because he is getting a little bored of some of them and has been "driving" anything he can get his hands on!

These are the days of our lives

I had a rough day today. First I find out that Trevor is now working six days a week with no lunches and mostly shifts from 12-10. I know we need the money and I am so proud of him and very grateful to him for working so hard but I am selfish and want to see him more. Then, Connor made a huge mess with his food, he would eat one piece of chicken then throw a piece on the floor, eat one, throw one this pattern continued until it was all gone. Then, later I placed him in his playpen so that I could clean our very dirty kitchen, as I am cleaning I hear "hrrrrmph!" I look over only to see him doing a pull up on the side of the playpen and do a summer salt out of it and land flat on his back. Luckily there was a pillow right in front of it so he was fine. Thank goodness! So, now that the playpen is no longer an option I have no choice but to let him roam freely among our living room which is full of things to get into. He wont leave the garbage can alone, he wont leave pictures on the coffee table alone, he finds little things on the floor to put in his mouth, and he hits the front of the glass cabinet and I am afraid it will fall over on him. Then it was so damn hot in here so I got the window fan down and set it in front of the couch while I worked and tried to keep an eye on Connor. Well, he decided it would be fun to stick his little finger it the fan while it is running, luckily I caught him before he got hurt!
Enough is enough, time for a nap. Oh but Connor didn't think so, so all he did was cry, and cry and cry until I got him back up. After about an hour I put him back down for a nap with a sippy cup and he cried and cried because he wanted a bottle not a sippy. So I gave him a bottle and he went right to sleep, yay!
The story ends good, Trevor got off work early and made me dinner! (that's a shocker!!) Connor went to bed early and is sleeping through the night (so far). Oh motherhood, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

The 4th of July

We had so much fun on the 4th! First we went to the parade, it was Connor's first parade and he loved it! His favorite was the marching bands. He would smile and clap his hands it was so cute. Then me and my mom and Connor went back to my house while my dad and brothers went to a car show in which they entered my dad's car. Trevor was at home with us because he was feeling sick. After a few hours we went to go watch the fireworks at that field by the site building in IF. We had hot dogs and just hung out until the show started. Connor was really tired by the time the fireworks started but he still watched them with great curiosity! This was the first time we had brought Connor to the fireworks. By the time we got Connor home he was asleep, he didn't even wake up when we got him out of his car seat. We put him in bed and he was out for the night. We had a great time with my family and Connor is just so cute!!

Today after Trevor got off of work we got the stroller out of the trunk of our car and strapped Connor in. We went out the front door and started to take a walk. We walked down to a park that is about a mile away from where we live. When we got there we let Connor play around and took turns going down the slide with him. It was so nice to get out of the house today! I love taking walks in the sunshine with my guys! Connor is changing so much everyday, it is amazing. He is running a little bit now and walks every where. I really don't think that life can get any sweeter for us!

My Birthday

Today was my 23rd birthday and it was awesome. Trevor was so great to me today. He made me breakfast and then took me to have my hair done which I love. Then we had dinner with my family and watched Gran Torino which I also love. We took some family pics that turned out pretty good. I didn't realize how fat I've gotten these days. Connor was in a really good mood today so that was a plus!!!

Fathers day

So father's day was yesterday. Trevor had to work for a few hours but then was able to get off. We just stayed at home and watched some movies and I made him a nice dinner. Here are some pics of Connor and Trevor.

Family life

Sometimes when I am tending to Connor I will stop and think "wow, I'm a mom" it still hits me funny sometimes because it doesn't seem real. I remember when I was little and I had a baby doll. I took that thing every where. My dad even made it a high chair so it could sit with us at dinner time. I would give it a bath, nurse it back to health, and change its diaper. I loved doing that and ever since then all I wanted was to be a mom. Now I am and it is everything I ever hoped for. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it is a huge struggle; a few days ago I had to take Connor to the hospital because he kept getting weird rashes all over himself. We waited in the hospital forever and Connor was tired and wouldn't hold still. He wanted to walk everywhere, first out of the room, then to the nurses station and then he found a wheel chair that he had to play with. When I picked him up he would throw a huge fit. The doctor finally saw us and decided that he was just getting some hives, they could be from an allergic reaction or because he has sensitive skin. So I get to pay a huge bill for nothing basically but that's life.
Since we have been tight on money we haven't been able to go do anything, usually we go on a "date" at least once a month with just me and Trevor but we can't cuz there isn't any funds. Thats okay though but I feel that I need a break from Connor sometimes. I know that sounds horrible but it's nice to just have some me time... I guess that's why I stay up so late. I love being a mom and a wife its the best!!

Back from Jackson

We went to Jackson Hole yesterday and it was a lot of fun even though the weather was crappy. It rained a lot but the sun did shine for a few hours. We got up at five and left at six, Connor wouldn’t sleep on the whole drive. Once we got there he went straight to Grandpa and was very happy. He wouldn’t take a nap during the day, too much to see I guess. He finally did conk out for about 20 minutes. Since Connor is walking now we went outside with him and walked around with me holding one hand and Trevor holding the other. It was sooo cute! He just got new shoes and he was having just a little trouble walking in them but after a while he got the hang of it. On the way home he cried most of the way because he was so tired. It was raining soo hard it was kinda scary. Once we got home we put Connor to bed and he slept really well. I was kinda surprised he didn’t do well on the drive because last year he did fine and slept a lot but he was only six months old then. Today Trevor shared his Mountain Dew with Connor; Connor just took a hold of the can and started literally chugging the mountain dew!! It was so cute! I got a few pics of them together with their dew. They are so darn cute!
